China’s space experts to embrace the aerospace industry international awards

According to Xinhua News Agency Xinhua reporters yesterday from the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation was informed, held in Cape Town, South Africa, 62nd International Astronautical Federation (IAF) Congress, China’s space experts Liuji original won the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) awarded the Von Karman Award.
Von Karman Award was founded in 1982, IAA is the highest award, given annually to one, in recognition of excellence in life sciences to achieve personal success. This is the first time, Chinese experts honor.
at the conference, from the Chinese aerospace expert Wang, another constant has been awarded the Design Bureau of Ukraine Younger South 100th anniversary medal. The award to commemorate the space rocket technology, outstanding scientists and designers, South Design Bureau founder and first chief designer Mikhail Cruz Mickey 100th anniversary of the Younger Fellowship was established to grant in the development of space rockets, space exploration cooperation and joint project implementation has made outstanding contributions to the experts.
the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) is the aerospace sector, non-governmental international academic organization, established in September 1951. Its purpose is the exchange of science and technology, space technology and to promote research and cooperation in outer space, to promote the cause and the peaceful uses of outer space activities development. IAF influential in the international academic community, by the United Nations Committee on Peaceful Uses of Outer appointed technical advisory bodies.
IAF headquarters in Paris, France, from 58 countries currently has more than 200 members. IAF members include Astronautical Society and other professional institutes, space agencies and international organizations, aerospace companies, universities and research institutions as well as interested non-profit aerospace organization. Chinese Society of Astronautics in 1980 to join IAF. From 1983 to now, China’s space experts, Yang Jiachi, Lu Yuan nine, Chen Fangyun, Liang Sili, Chenhuai Jin, Yuan Jiajun, Yuan Jie Wu Yansheng, and were chosen as IAF Vice-Chairman. 64th International Astronautical Federation Congress will be held in Beijing in 2013.
International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) was founded in 1960, is a close relationship with the IAF, but relatively independent non-governmental academic organization. IAA is committed to peaceful development of space science, in recognition of outstanding scientific and technological fields related to individuals, to promote international exchanges and cooperation in space. China very closely with the IAA, so far, more than 50 academicians of China’s space experts were elected IAA, honorary chairman of the Chinese Society of Astronautics IAA elected former Vice President Liu Ji. 2010, IAA Research Center (China) in Beijing.
